Give Me a Voice About the Good Things In Mary Kay
This comment was submitted in response to our video Taylor McKnight Wants to Be a Mary Kay NSD. This consultant says she doesn’t believe in frontloading. But Pink Truth is like junior high girls fighting in the bathroom and apparently I won’t let this woman comment on the website. But no, we don’t need a commenter telling about all the “good” things about Mary Kay. That would be like MK Inc. letting Pink Truth post things on THEIR website, just so people get a little balance. That’s not going to happen, is it?
I have been a Consultant in Mary Kay for 20 years. I have a solid base of customers that I service. I LOVE the Company. I LOVE lifting women up. When I share the business opportunity with others, I am very clear and honest about choices they can make with inventory. I feel like inventory is a decision that is best for the amount of time they are committed to holding appointments.
I do NOT agree with what you describe as “front loading” a way to help a new consultant be successful. The purpose of product is to help your customers solve skin care issues and to look, smell and feel good. As I say to my team members. You job is to help your customers solve skin issues and the sale will come. You job is NOT to “collect product” I don’t feel I am a bad person for selling what I know(because I use it)is a quality product.
I am happy with the skin results I get. That is why I use it and hold appointments. To help my customers have great skin. So they feel good about themselves on the outside and the inside.
I understand that their are women in Mary Kay that are not upholding the principles that Mary Kay herself put into place. I feel like your website and this U tube page is informational but a little like Jr. High girls fighting in the bathroom. I have read your website, and so often want to leave my view of how I feel about the company but unfortunately I am not allowed to comment there.
it is important to be honest and transparent to both my customers and potential team members. Not everyone lives by the Faith First, Family second and Career 3rd or the Go Give Spirit in Mary Kay. I am proud to say that I do. I teach my team members to do it. Mary Kay is more than just positions, cars, labels and commission checks. If done right it can provide self esteem, friendships and yes a good way to make money. Maybe you could give people like me a voice about the good things about Mary Kay instead of only your voice. Your welcome to contact me and so is anyone else reading my comment.
MK is designed to be a frontloading pyramid scheme, thats how commissions are sent up the pyramid..PROOF that mk is a pyramid scheme? Commissions are paid on what is ordred, not what is sold. Mk doesnt track retail sales, because the consultant is the customer.
“Your welcome to contact me and so is anyone else reading my comment”
LOL she’s trying to get customers/recruits from Pink Truth.
“Maybe you could give people like me a voice about the good things about Mary Kay instead of only your voice. Your welcome to contact me and so is anyone else reading my comment.”
A – This isn’t your site, and you already have a voice to say all of those supposedly wonderful things about MK.
B – Since you read the posts on this site, you would notice that a lot of the people here were directors. We know a lot of things; we have seen a lot of things (I sound like that Farmer’s Insurance commercial.).
C – It’s YOU’RE welcome, as in you+are. Your means something belongs to someone else. And no one is going to contact you after reading your comments. No one wants insincere sunshine blown up their bums.
In 20 years and she’s going to lecture us? How about over a DECADE in the suit? She needs to zip it.
Lol…she needs to zip up her director’s suit! Oh wait…she’s only *maybe* tried a director’s jacket once, at best.
I’ve never fought anyone in a bathroom. 🤔
Off topic post for fun Friday. Below is a link to an actual attorney and his post. And even though his name isn’t Saul, I wouldn’t be surprised if his license plate read “LWYRUP”.
This is hilarious, but it’s also really sad due to the damage MLM can cause.

Are the “tags” in the comments fellow anti-MLMers, or folks they want to “get the hint”? Either way, the comments killed me!
“Call 1-800-MLM-RIFT for a free consultation.” 😆
“I have read your website, and so often want to leave my view”
By her own admission, she spends a lot of time on PT. Why is that?
If I require help with skincare/makeup, I’d rather seek out a dermatologist / esthetician / professional makeup artist than someone who merely had to “sign up for a $100 starter kit.”
Same bundling of MK.
20 yrs and a go getter and not an NSD yet, shame shame. That energy could have launched a true executive. Hey I will sign up for MK but so much offered on Ebay, nope!
“I have read your website, and so often want to leave my view”
Leave it. we want to see what you have to say. That we will reply is given and that our replies may not be what you expected and may point out the glaring inconsistencies between what you are clinging to and what really happens in Mk or any MLM for that matter.
I think however, that you are annoyed that Tracey is closing comments on the older posts making your comments more visible than you want.
So sounds like she’s still just a consultant after 20 years. She’s proud of not front-loading, aggressive recruiting, and respecting the company values… but clearly she needs to do something different to move up. I wonder what the missing piece is?
“If done right it can provide self esteem, friendships and yes a good way to make money.”
These are the lies we are fed.
“It can mess with your self esteem, your fake friendships and its not a good way to make money.”
That sounds more like the truth. Mk herself would turn the directors against each other. There’s an elite “big girl’s ” club to make others feel less than. Making money is always last because there is no profit.
Yes, nothing builds self-esteem like working your behind off for less than minimum wage.
New friends? Try quitting MK, and see how many you have left.
Good way to make money? Prove it with your last twenty Schedule C forms, or get out.
That was directed at the critic, BNM, not you.
I hope that was clear.
It’s front loading no matter how you spell it
OK, Sorryful, let’s put that to the test:
Frunt Lowding.
Dang, you’re right!
I put so much money in with little to no return.
It’s front loading no matter how you spell it
I would love to contact you but someone who has been drinking the pink koolaid FOR TWENTY YEARS isn’t going to listen, so why should anyone bother?
You are a liar, saying you “can’t comment” on Pink Truth’s website. Maybe not the older posts but are those the ONLY ONES you read? You can’t possibly comment ON CURRENT POSTS? Or do you not try to, because we can respond back?
Twenty wasted years.
How many women have wasted A LOT OF MONEY with you?
You should not be proud.
You should be ashamed of yourself.
“ When I share the business opportunity with others, I am very clear and honest about choices they can make…”
Okay, but when you “share the business opportunity” with YOUR customers, are YOU honest with yourself about what that actually means? By “sharing the opportunity”, yore taking your customers (from whom you supposedly make fifty percent” and instead turning them into competitors.
If you cannot realize and/or comprehend how “sharing the opportunity” with your hard-earned customer is sabotaging your sales and success, then perhaps this MK “business” of yours is NOT a good fit for you.
Ah, “yore” is a typo. Sorry.
AND the dangling ellipsis! I might as well pack up my English degree and send it back to my uni, with the written admission that I’m not worthy!
