If You Spent As Much Time on Mary Kay….
From a Pink Truth critic:
If you spent as much time and effort in your own business rather than running down Mary Kay you may find yourself as successful as the many thousands of women who do direct sell Mary Kay products. The company has changed my life and many other womens lives I know. I support my husband, 2 children and pay off a mortagage all through my business.
Why have I been so successful, because I believed in myself, and the products. I find many of your comments are obviously coming from bad experiences resulting from no self discipline, effort and time that is required to successfully manage your own business. Mary Kay do not suck people in, you are all criticising something you really dont seem to know alot about. With any Independent business you get out of it what you put in. Maybe you should look at yourself rather than the company!!??
Well, “you get out of it what you put into it” put me over the top. I got a BINGO in the Critics Cliché Bonanza!
All kidding aside, NO one, let alone thousands, is supporting a family and paying a mortgage just by selling Mary Kay. Schedule C or it didn’t happen.
How about Mary Kay Mad Libs? “The company (upbeat phrase) and (big but indeterminate number) other womens lives I know. I support my (relative), (number) children and pay off a (expensive thing) all through my business.”
“The company turns me on and oodles of other womens lives I know. I support my Crazy Aunt Holly, 12 children, and pay off a curated selection of single malt scotches through my business.”
Don’t ever change, Popinki, I love ya!
If you spent as much time and effort in your own business rather than running down Mary Kay you may find yourself as successful as the many thousands of women who do direct sell Mary Kay products.
I spend 15-20 minutes a day running down MK. If I was working my own business, should I have one, that hard I would certainly be better off than 90% of women sucked into the MK opportunity.
The company has changed my life and many other womens (sic) lives I know. I support my husband, 2 children and pay off a mortagage(sic) all through my business.
Sure, Jan. Just leave your info for Tracy to check, thanks.

IF you have been successful, it is at the expense of those in your downline and you either know it and don’t care or you are oblivious to what’s going on with your consultants.

Please read yesterday’s post showing how Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash herself was instructing other people how to manipulate “girls” into joining up.
I love Fridays. The crazy comes out, and we like to pour them a drink and set them out on the front porch.
“Why have I been so successful, because I believed in myself, and the products.”
I have worked in corporate America for over 3 decades. I have never heard a customer talk about “believing” in a product. Such a statement implies the product’s value depends on an act of faith.
I guess it is fitting to use this word with respect to MLM products.
That doesn’t make sense to me either. Lipstick changes the color of your lips because that’s what it does; you don’t need to Believe In The Lipstick to make it work.
Wonder how much she ordered for pink power day?
Why do I get the distinct feeling that this is a brand new consultant who has heard women make these outrageous claims at unit meetings and desperately wants to hold onto the idea that she can to?
