Do Not Demotivate Women
If you are the same, hopeless woman that wrote a blog I came across today bashing the Mary Kay company and responding to everyone’s posts that actually stood up for the business…then I pray for your sad, unmotivated soul. It is really saddening to me that you devote your time to producing a website that is revolved around a Mary Kay Hate Club, or CULT for that matter.
You think Mary Kay is a cult…but the numbers should prove to you that after 55 years of being successful and and the growing number of consultants, your opinions are just that…OPINIONS. Not facts. “99% of women who start Mary Kay, fail.” HAHAHAHA….how pathetic. Where is your research and proven facts that make this number relevant? I’d sure love to see them.
Why don’t you find something better to do with your time, like actually going out and MAKING MONEY…because clearly you aren’t making any money by discouraging women who DO have dreams to become better, more enthusiastic and positive people.
Maybe you haven’t learned yet, but Mary Kay obviously isn’t for everyone. However, I have noticed that the women that DO fail, are pushovers who were sucked into the fact that they apparently HAVE to buy a ton of inventory, in which it is not required. Then they realized..”wow, I don’t have the motivation to go out and meet new women to actually sell this $5000 worth of product, maybe I should quit”……that’s where people like you come into play.
DO NOT DEMOTIVATE WOMEN WHO DO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE THEIR OWN LIVES, ESPECIALLY WOMEN YOU DON’T KNOW. Keep your negative thoughts to yourself and the few close friends that you speak with on a daily basis. LET WOMEN MAKE DECISIONS OF THEIR OWN, you are not their mother and it is not your responsibility to influence a personal decision of theirs!
I sure hope you are truly happy with your life, especially considering your goal is to make other women discouraged into bettering their own lives, or at least TRYING to. I would hate to know that someone with selfish goals like this isn’t experiencing a sad, pathetic life of their own. Karma will come around, lady…

Tracy put a hyperlink in your post. The performance characteristics of endless-chain recruiting schemes is now readily available to anyone willing to look. What die hard MLMers fail to acknowledge is the nature of cash flow in all of these schemes…including MLMs. The primary money source, for the corporation and for the up-line, is the money lost in the down-line.
OP, Tracy has provided research that shows that MLMs like Mary Kay promote a lie. Participants are not business owners. They are customers of the MLM, and their aggregate losses provide the primary cash flow to the organization. It’s that simple.
OP, it is now up to you to show numbers to the contrary. It is as simple as this: Identify just ONE down-line in Mary Kay…starting at any person/level you choose, which is generating a profit as a whole. (A profit, in this context means the downline you identify is receiving more money from their Mary Kay business than they are spending on their business, in aggregate, including all current and former down-line members).
Traditional businesses can be profitable for everyone involved. But history has yet to include a profitable MLM downline. Can you be the first to create one? In not, how can you justify your involvement in a business model that depends on losses below for profits above?
“OP, Tracy has provided research that shows that MLMs like Mary Kay promote a lie.”—
OP probably doesn’t even realize she’s an MLMer participating in an MLM endless-chain recruiting scheme. Here’s a link with some research for the OP’s convenience:

The same one Tracy has in the linked article! Oy, not enough coffee. Maybe if she sees it twice?
Wonder why this person is so triggered? Surely reading Pink Truth isn’t an IPA! Think of all the parties and opportunity sharing you could have if you weren’t hating on Pink Truth!

I need some of these for my office!!
They are wonderful.
Our guest room has ones with skiers doing painful things.
I love demotivators!

A few seconds in, I was greeted by:
“This is an annoying pop-up window”
It was the first time I wasn’t annoyed by a pop-up window.
Okay here, Miss Ma’am. Your post, as precious as it may be, is so full of tripe. I’m going to discuss (again) one point you Friday headliners never seem to understand.
“Why don’t you find something better to do with your time, like actually going out and MAKING MONEY…because clearly you aren’t making any money by discouraging women who DO have dreams to become better, more enthusiastic and positive people.”
I do, in fact, make money. I make good money. I made AMAZING money when working as a travel nurse. As a travel nurse, I was making more in a month than your average NSD. As in take-home of over 10K a month. I have since moved into nursing management. (No, I didn’t have to recruit a bunch of nurses under me and order so many sets of scrubs.). Guess what? I’m again making REALLY good money. And I’m working with people all across the hospital who want to be better nurses, participate in internship programs, become certified, and conduct evidence-based practice projects (ya know… so we can improve patient care and outcomes, improve processes, and maybe, just maybe get in a game of cards here and there).
So I suggest you tuck and roll… because that first step off your high horse is going to be a b*tch.
Not much has changed since I wrote this … and it’s still not a business opportunity.
“Does the Mary Kay home business opportunity provide the typical consultant with enough income from product sales to replace an entry-level, minimum-wage job such as burger flipper, Wal-Mart greeter, or convenience store cashier?
Not only no, but hell no! You’ll be lucky to afford to buy a burger for your kids.”

Some-one else who stumbled across us. Though I’m not sure why they have to be so piously proud of the ability to pray.
It is really saddening to me that you devote your time to producing a website that is revolved around a Mary Kay Hate Club, or CULT for that matter.
We are not the people who have pictures of their founder scattered around our homes or places of work that make it look like a Marian Shrine. Nor are we told that we need to placate Tracy before we face the final judgement from God.

Tracy provided the hyperlink in her posting but I would like to add this, the 2020 Canadian Income Disclosure.

Over 98% of people earn less than $225 per annum in annual commissions. That’s gross not net. Since you are a “savvy” business boss babe, you already now that gross is before those pesky things like tax, supplies, gas and all the other trivial amounts spent on your business.
Before you take a deep breath to admonish me about your personal sales, ask yourself why no-one ever is praised for what they sell , only how big their order is. Time after time, we read about a new recruit getting the prize for that weeks biggest order which is their starting kit.
Sure, general you, may have a swimming pool full of dollar bills that you’ve earned by selling your products, but Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash’s company doesn’t care to bruit that around since all that MKcorps is interested in is how much you order , not how much you sell. They’ve made their profit as soon as you buy your orders.
Why don’t you find something better to do with your time, like actually going out and MAKING MONEY…because clearly you aren’t making any money by discouraging women who DO have dreams to become better, more enthusiastic and positive people.
Tracy certainly appears to be making money as do many of the other contributors to this site. Some of us are retired, though. We are not trying to stop women or men, for that matter, from perusing their dreams, just pointing out that some dreams are in reality nightmares.
Maybe you haven’t learned yet, but Mary Kay obviously isn’t for everyone.
Then why am I constantly being told it is?
However, I have noticed that the women that DO fail, are pushovers who were sucked into the fact that they apparently HAVE to buy a ton of inventory, in which it is not required.
Then the rot starts with the recruiters who push this idea. There are directors who boast that they do not send in the IBC agreement until they have extorted the largest order out of their potential down-line.
Then they realized..”wow, I don’t have the motivation to go out and meet new women to actually sell this $5000 worth of product, maybe I should quit”……that’s where people like you come into play.
Yes, we give them the information that they need to return the inventory that their directors don’t want them to have since it hits them hard in their profits.
DO NOT DEMOTIVATE WOMEN WHO DO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO CHANGE THEIR OWN LIVES, ESPECIALLY WOMEN YOU DON’T KNOW.
This sounds like a toddler’s temper tantrum over other children not playing with them.
Keep your negative thoughts to yourself and the few close friends that you speak with on a daily basis.
I don’t see these as negative thoughts at all. I see it as balancing the bar.
LET WOMEN MAKE DECISIONS OF THEIR OWN, you are not their mother and it is not your responsibility to influence a personal decision of theirs!
Should I not tell my friend that the dreamy guy she’s dating is a serial killer? or the car seat another friend is planning to purchase has been recalled? Are they not positive things to tell people?
I sure hope you are truly happy with your life, especially considering your goal is to make other women discouraged into bettering their own lives, or at least TRYING to. I would hate to know that someone with selfish goals like this isn’t experiencing a sad, pathetic life of their own.
Given that in the past couple of weeks, we have published posts from women who were concerned enough about this “opportunity” to push aside the Pink Curtain and see just who is in charge and decide to leave or not join in the first place, I think we are doing a good job.
Karma will come around, lady…
I love it when Christians talk about Karma especially as they always imagine it happening in this life. I blame John Lennon

GOOD DAY,
Don’t Be Lazy
Whelp, there goes my plans for housework for today, reading and sewing commencing after lunch. Maybe a movie too.
>>Maybe you haven’t learned yet, but Mary Kay obviously isn’t for everyone<<
Sure, until you need her to be a face model at your next meeting
“Why don’t you find something better to do with your time, like actually going out and MAKING MONEY…”
Should we tell her? Who’s gonna tell her? 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
“Why don’t you find something better to do with your time, like actually going out and MAKING MONEY…because clearly you aren’t making any money by discouraging women who DO have dreams to become better, more enthusiastic and positive people
You do realize that there’s some people in this world who are not motivated by money. I happen to be one of those people.
I don’t think having money makes one a better person.
I am confused by the idea of dreams to be better. Being better isn’t something to dream of, it’s something one should consciously be doing daily.
Some of the most caring, positive and enthusiastic people I know are not even close to being rich, however, some of the most miserable people I know are rich and are very motivated by money … … 🤔
“Let women make decisions of their own.”
Well, no one from Pink Truth put a gun to anyone’s head & told them not to join Mary Kay. Funny that line only flows in one direction, eh?
Both eyes roll….Sucker born every minute…lol! It’s amazing how these hateful folks cannot come up with an original thought. Lol!
Her comment about praying, then Karma seems to be mixing Hinduism with Christianity. This person does not sound intelligent, at all.
Hey Ms. Don’t Be Lazy,
How much money do YOU make annually from Mary Kay, and how many hours per week, on average, do you work to get it? Nobody would know who are if you posted here about it.
We never get an answer to this type of question. The silence is deafening.
