I Will Pay For You to Sign Up
No, Mary Kay is not a business. It’s a grand scheme in which women put in their own money to give the illusion of a business. Here is consultant Sheree Barnard offering to pay for your sign up fee if you become a consultant.
There’s a catch, of course. You have to place a $600 order. What you thought was going to be free…. ends up costing you hundreds.
But Sheree’s director is soooooooo close to finishing her car! [sarcasm]
Only $9,800 of orders will get her there! How much do you think the director will order out of her own money? As much as possible, I’m sure.
The consultant has to pay for the Great Start Qualified Order and stay active. For how long, exactly? A year? Between the two, this is a ~$1,600 commitment. It costs roughly $1000/year just to “stay active” ($225+double tax, per quarter).
When a Mary Kay rep offers you something for “free”, hide your wallet!
Really, it’s just one $600 plus taxon retail value, so about $650-680.
She doesn’t *have* to stay active and would not be required to put in any future orders. However, if she wants to get products at wholesale pricing, she’ll have to be active by placing a $225 minimum order.
Sheree has only been a Director for a few months, yet she’s already offering to PAY for people to join her team.
Think about that.
