I Worked Mary Kay While in Labor
I found an interesting Instagram account called Pleasantly Persistent. There are some great posts about why MLM (and Mary Kay in particular) is terrible. This one was so spot on!

The person in the #10 spot for "personal + team" had a mere $1200 in combined orders! That's pitiful!
I think it is very telling that Jamie does not let her consultants see the totals for the directors!!!
I saw that series! Kirsten Dunst played the lead and the show was loosely based on Amway.
Excellent eye opener!
There was a TV series on MLMs 5 years ago, I caught it, and it was frighteningly realistic: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_Becoming_a_God_in_Central_Florida Again,…
God first. Family Second. Mary Kay Third,
Yeah right.
Mary Kay is excellent at separating people from their money. #fact
Sacrifice for your family.
This means work now in order to build your future… future debt? Losing time with your children when they’re young… time you don’t get back. I think it means sacrifice your family for mk Corp family. The goal is always moved.
This has a lot of examples as to how there is no “maternity leave” like you’d have with a real J.O.B. But even worse than no maternity leave is how, if you’re a director, you STILL have to make production even with a newborn. And if you fail to make production as required, you WILL lose your unit. So not only NO maternity leave, MK can take your entire “business” from you because you needed to tend to your baby. That certainly isn’t “empowering women” now, is it?
This is just sad
