As a former attorney who left a very successful legal career to start a MK business over 10 years ago, I found your website to be pathetic. I can only assume you are a former consultant with a rotten attitude who had decided to profit from her bad attitude. Of course I also realize you could be a competitor using unethical marketing practices to demoralize and undermine the competition. The placement of your website in search engines makes it very clear that your mission is to seek out and exploit.

Mary Kay has positively changed the lives- including mine –  of thousands of women throughout the world.  How sad that you chose  to highlight the negative – the minority who had a bad experience or who have a rotten attitude. Your website only perpetuates their discontent, offers no positive options or guidance and worse still seeks to profit from the misery of others.

Of course MK isn’t perfect. No company is. But as someone who has been involved in starting many  companies, I can tell you this is truly the best entrepreneurial opportunity for women today.

You are clearly a creative entrepreneur. I hope you find a more positive way to use your entrepreneurial skills in the future to encourage and inspire women instead of profiting from their misery.

  1. “As a former attorney who left a very successful legal career…” Mmm hmm. I bet you could have been the next Matlock if only you looked better in seersucker.

“I can only assume you are a former consultant with a rotten attitude who had decided to profit from her bad attitude.” Now what kind of a lawyer leaps to a conclusion without studying all the evidence? Who Tracy is and why she started this site is all right here where anyone can read it. Oh, right, the kind of lawyer who gives up a “very successful” career in order to become an MK hun.

“I also realize you could be a competitor using unethical marketing practices to demoralize and undermine the competition.” OMG STAHP MY RIBS ROFLMAO.

“The placement of your website in search engines makes it very clear that your mission is to seek out and exploit.” They’re called search engine algorithms, which use like complicated things with like numbers and junk to determine the best results in response to a user query. This site pops up in searches for Mary Kay because it gets so many hits, including from those who deny its existence, not the other way around.

“Your website only perpetuates their discontent, offers no positive options or guidance and worse still seeks to profit from the misery of others.” Minus ad revenues, websites like this don’t make a profit. Tracy doesn’t sell anything, doesn’t take monetary donations, and FFS no she’s not recruiting for a rival MLM. And a surprising number of the discontented find their way here; no one has to seek them out.

“But as someone who has been involved in starting many companies,” Ah, you were as successful with those as with your law career. Or do you mean you tried and failed to make a go of multiple other MLM “businesses” and MK was the only one you were able to make stick for more than a couple months?

“I can tell you this is truly the best entrepreneurial opportunity for women today.” MLM huns are not entrepreneurs. They are the customers of a huge predatory corporation which lures them in with promises of easy money and the good life, then they find that they’re stuck in a neverending cycle of recruitment and debt.

“You are clearly a creative entrepreneur. I hope you find a more positive way to use your entrepreneurial skills in the future to encourage and inspire women instead of profiting from their misery.” Well, she encouraged and inspired me. I barely gave MK a thought until last summer when one of your pink sistahs borderline harassed me, and those algoriths I was talking about earlier sent me here. So well done, hun.

        • I got TWO! Yay! I suppose the downvoters would continue seeing their family physician upon learning he/she graduated dead last in their med school class ranking. Better yet, trust an OB/GYN who graduated at the same abysmal level with the delivery of their child.

Like, why even downvote that comment? Going through comments on Pink Truth certainly isn’t an income-producing activity.

          • Because the downvotes are ridiculous, Mountaineer… If there was any logic to them, we’d have to think of something to call them other than a Ridiculous Downvote ™

  2. “The placement of your website in search engines makes it very clear that your mission is to seek out and exploit.” Check the page code. There are no black hat SEO shenanigans hidden in the HTML to affect rankings. Tracy is not buying links, setting up link farms, or stuffing keywords into every possible orifice.

No, dear ex-lawyer, the placement of Pink Truth in search engines is what happens when you have a mature well-designed website about a popular topic with well-written, tightly focused content. Search engines can’t help themselves when you not only have hundreds of pages of focused content, but thousands and thousands of links from all over the web from sites that themselves have high rank.

A former attorney, eh? I guess that’s how you funded your MK career. If you have to assume something, then you haven’t done your due diligence towards your research.

Of course I also realize you could be a competitor using unethical marketing practices to demoralize and undermine the competition. The placement of your website in search engines makes it very clear that your mission is to seek out and exploit.

Competitor?? No, again research fail. Also (general) your search history places websites during the SEO not the site owner.

Mary Kay has positively changed the lives- including mine – of thousands of women throughout the world.

it has also affected far more women and men negatively. As for being worldwide, ask the consultants in Australia and New Zealand whose “businesses” were shut down overnight. I’m sure that was a positive experience for them.

How sad that you chose to highlight the negative – the minority who had a bad experience or who have a rotten attitude. Your website only perpetuates their discontent, offers no positive options or guidance and worse still seeks to profit from the misery of others.

I would have thought that the learned council here should be aware of how both sides need to be explored.
There are plenty of positive options such as how to return your inventory thus avoiding some of the financial penalty of their exposure to this opportunity. However it is gratifying to see that she recognises that there are people who are suffering and need help.

Of course MK isn’t perfect. No company is. But as someone who has been involved in starting many companies, I can tell you this is truly the best entrepreneurial opportunity for women today.

Starting many companies= serial MLMer to me.
Mary Kay isn’t perfect because it was designed to funnel money into her greedy little hands. There are plenty of websites devoted to how bad other companies are.

You are clearly a creative entrepreneur. I hope you find a more positive way to use your entrepreneurial skills in the future to encourage and inspire women instead of profiting from their misery.

Damned with faint praise. But again , M’Lud, opposing council has recognised that Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash’s company spreads misery in it’s wake.

Read that last line…”profiting from their misery”. Pretty sure your girl Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash is the one doing that by encouraging front loading consultants with tons of unsellable stock, but go off, hun.

  4. Tracy, as a frequent contributor, I would like to claim my royalty checks from the income you’re apparently rolling in because you created this site. Please don’t bill me for the actual costs of keeping this up (higher than any minimal income), or for the time you spend diligently working to take down the Pink Fog Machine (hours upon hours).

It looks like we can add either “minority” or “bad experience” to the list of terms misused in MLM. Even though 99% of MLM participants lose money (including in Mary Kay), this attorney claims only a “minority” (which by definition is less than 50%) had a “bad experience”. So either she is misusing the term “minority”, or the term “bad experience” (or both).

  6. LOL An attorney leaves “a very successful legal career to start a MK business”? She’s either 1) a liar, or 2) stupid.

      • I vote BOTH!!! Her “speak” is not lawyerly. Her arguments and conclusions suggest no ability to think critically, explore opposing ideas, research facts or ore sadly, step outside the pink fog.

For crying out loud! Any research course can use a simple white board using Pros and Cons and get a pretty clear picture of how MK is a scam – oops, I mean a pyramid scheme – oops, I mean – a losing proposition.

  7. Nobody would leave a successful legal career to have makeup parties and stalk women in Target for pampering sessions.

  8. My former senior is an attorney. Trust me. She NEVER quit her DOJ job, even after becoming a director. Why, might you ask? Because that job has a pension, retirement plan, healthcare, paid time off, and more. Plus, she made BANK as a lawyer.

I don’t believe that you left a legal career to pursue MK full-time and make the same as you would as an active attorney. If I believe anything, it’s that you have bounced from one MLM to the next, trying to make quick bucks at the expense of others.

  9. I’m an attorney. I’ve had jobs in the profession that I’ve absolutely hated. Never once would I have considered leaving them to sell MK.

  10. Hmm. I wonder if this is a certain previously pre-law majoring director inflating the accolades of her “job” prior to MK the same way she inflates her earnings to get people to sign… 🤔

  11. No, sorry, I don’t believe you’re a successful attorney turned successful seller of Mary Kay. I’d expect a former lawyer to argue her case with facts (such as her net earnings in Mary Kay) instead of speculation and ad hominem attacks.

You do realize that coming here and telling obvious lies doesn’t help your case, right?
