You Didn’t Have Common Sense
We didn’t have common sense and we gave in to peer pressure:
This site is scary, to say the least. Wow… these women are so bitter. Why don’t they just move on? Mary Kay is not the devil and not all of the women involved in MK are mindless robots.
I do not sale MK, but I do use the products and have friends that sale. They love it and have had wonderful experiences. I showed them this website and they seemed very shocked. None of these women could relate to the stories. The women I am referring to are not backwoods, gullible, followers who believe everything and anything they are told. Two of the three women have college degrees and one of them has a master’s degree.
I think the women who should be scolded and reprimanded are not the women involved with MK, but the idiots who didn’t have enough backbone and common sense to not be peer pressured into debt and buying things they didn’t want. Just because some of the women were, at best, fools don’t mean the other ladies are going to make the same obviously ridiculous choices.
Let ALL women on this site be able to speak their opinion without the repercussion of verbal abuse or re-title the site, “if you don’t share my miserable experience, you are an idiot.com LOL. I crack myself up.

So did my nephew, when he was four and thought knock-knock jokes were the the shizznit. It was cute because he was four.
Since your knowledge of content rules seems to come from the equally juvenile notion that IT’S A FREE COUNTRY AND I CAN SAY WHATEVER I WANT SO THERE!!!!11!, no. Tracy owns this space and she gets to decide what content is allowed on her slice of internet.
You and your friends who “sale” MK can take yourselves to one of the numerous MK safe spaces where no negativity or criticism is allowed and crack yourselves up all you like.
“I think the women who should be scolded and reprimanded are…the idiots who didn’t have enough backbone and common sense to not be peer pressured into debt and buying things they didn’t want.”
Yet another PTC blaming the victim, with no words against the perpetrators.
“Mary Kay is not the devil and not all of the women involved in MK are mindless robots.”
Granted, most of the MK women taking advantage of their downline are not yet aware that is what they are doing, because the MK “pitch” has them believing they are helping the ones they are actually exploiting. As you get higher up the upline, tou will find that these ladies know exactly what they are doing, and that their success depends on them being able to exploit the “idiots” you choose to blame.
OP, you are standing up for the ones doing the exploiting. Pink Truth is standing up for those being exploited.

I spent the whole of today pondering on this. Especially as I also queried whom we should place the largest share of the blame onto. I know I have been defending the victims because they generally deserve my support but I’m now heading towards punting a field goal at those who do not find a problem with nagging and berating the people who look up at them for guidance.
This site is scary, to say the least. Wow… these women are so bitter.
Ma’am.. no-one here is bitter. What you are seeing is a range of emotions, both positive and negative which is a good thing. We don’t expect everyone who visits or comments to be a rictus-grinning Stepford Wife.
Why don’t they just move on?
Those involved have moved on. They have just decided to share their knowledge in the hopes to help other people.
Mary Kay is not the devil .
Mary Kay isn’t good either. A company where managers tell their staff that they have to placate the company founder BEFORE they are judged by God is not one I would want to work for.
My senior was fond of saying that when we died, we would face both Mary Kay and God. In. That. Order. Think about that for a minute. Dark Side of Mary Kay Cosmetics – Pink Truth

and not all of the women involved in MK are mindless robots.
And yet at the faintest whiff of criticism, there is a mass beating of breasts and ripping of hair, wailing to the skies to drown out any dissenting words.
I do not sale (sic) MK, but I do use the products and have friends that sale (sic).
I don’t doubt the first part of your sentence. The problem is ordering not selling.
They love it and have had wonderful experiences. I showed them this website and they seemed very shocked.
Anecdote does not equal data. What they are shocked about is not you showing them this site it is that you found it. Everyone and their mother in Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash’s company knows of Pink Truth.
None of these women could relate to the stories.
They will, sooner or later.
The women I am referring to are not backwoods, gullible, followers who believe everything and anything they are told. Two of the three women have college degrees and one of them has a master’s degree.
Appeal to Authority Fallacy, ten yards penalty.
I think the women who should be scolded and reprimanded are not the women involved with MK, but the idiots who didn’t have enough backbone and common sense to not be peer pressured into debt and buying things they didn’t want.
Why aren’t you berating those bullies who browbeat and pressurise others, hmmm?? Not their victims?? Could it be that you yourself are one of those ladies in the second group?
Just because some of the women were, at best, fools don’t mean the other ladies are going to make the same obviously ridiculous choices.
Wait until cars and career cheques are on the line and then see how the wolves come howling for wallets to open, cheques to be written and credit cards, all four of them, to be maxxed out.
Let ALL women on this site be able to speak their opinion without the repercussion of verbal abuse
Anyone who wishes to comment is allowed to. Fridays are open to any criticism, valid or not. Does Mary Kay allow this? And it’s not verbal abuse when we respond to you.
or re-title the site, “if you don’t share my miserable experience, you are an idiot.com
If you wish to do so, I’m certain that domain name is still open. You can have a toxic positive site of MKBots spewing their idolatry of the Woman In Pink.
LOL. I crack myself up.
You are in a minority of one, then.
I’m not taking sass from AI.
There’s serious disconnect in the language used – incorrect use of the word sale, but touting education, and denying backwoods.
Oh! You admit there is pressure to order? Pressure to join? And pressure from peers and social contacts? Who profits from pressuring? The women involved in MK, especially the recruiters and the upline, of course! “the women who should be scolded and reprimanded are not the women involved with MK, but the idiots who didn’t have enough backbone and common sense to not be peer pressured into debt and buying things they didn’t want.”
“Two of the three women have college degrees and one of them has a master’s degree.”
Book Smarts doesn’t equal common sense or street smarts ….
Some of the smartest people I know have zero common/street sense. Its honestly quite hilarious at times….
It’s not the 1950’s or 1960’s or even the 1980’s when getting a degree wasn’t in the realm of the average person. Having a BA/BS or a Masters is not a rare thing these days and yet Ms. Critic wants us to treat it as something not to be challenged.
I do not disparage or discount college educations, at all. I WANT ONE! But having one doesn’t mean squat in terms of using good judgement, or knowing how to make sound business decisions. Clearly if a person has a masters degree and is involved in mk, they are either completely aware of the impossibility of 99% of consultants to make a profitable, sustainable, comfortable income, or they are demonstrating that a high level of education in no way prevents being vulnerable to a poorly disguised pyramid scheme.
I know a librarian with a ph.d. and I have seen her fight, in the library, like a teenager fighting with her siblings. IN THE LIBRARY. FIGHTING WITH PATRONS. And shockingly, it isn’t just her! An older gentleman librarian RESIGNED because he got into a dispute with a parent and a CHILD over whether the child brought her own Legos to the library, or if the Legos belonged to the branch.
Standing on a degree to impart your intelligence and standing in the world of business is foolishness. Recognizing a business scam is priceless. Ask Walgreens and Safeway about Elizabeth Holmes lol.
It’s widely accepted that people write the way they think… Whoever wrote today’s article comes across as somewhat low functioning. A childish/naïve mind – with strung together and poorly articulated/jumbled thoughts. Someone easily confused and led astray, I’d go so far to state.
Reading this “Pink Truth Critics” post reminds me very much of one of the final scenes in the movie, “No Country for Old Men:”
“I knowed you was crazy when I seen you setting in that chair.”
Anecdotally: I watched some NSD videos on YouTube. They were pretty much less than mindless. NSDs are the cream of the crop in MK. The ones that folks like today’s critic, fawn over.
