You Didn’t Invest in Your MK Business
A Mary Kay consultant who sells Mary Kay out of her hair salon thinks we just didn’t invest properly.
She must be working her business the right way! Oh wait… selling out of a fixed location like a salon isn’t allowed under the contract, is it?
Obviously you all must not have invested properly in your business. ??
Going after prizes helps give you incentive to sell ( cheap or not ). That is all your choice.
You weren’t forced. No. I’m not a Director. I’m someone who is active and enjoys what I’m doing. Yes. I’m on Queens Court. No. I’m not upside down. I have built my store, clients and now more money to be made.
Don’t hate on them for your decisions and path you took. It’s definitely an opportunity given. The rest is YOUR CHOICE.
And as a bonus, when she launches into her MK sales pitch, her clients can’t escape with their hair wet, half cut, or in foils.
True, but I’d never book with her again!
Obviously you all must not have invested properly in your business. ??
Well, some-one bought into the “can’t sell from an empty wagon” fallacy.
Going after prizes helps give you incentive to sell ( cheap or not ). That is all your choice.
The prizes are based on what you ORDER not sell because MKcorp doesn’t track external sales. And offering discounts cuts into your meagre profits. Or do you mean the prizes are cheap trash?
You weren’t forced.
Ever hear of peer pressure? That’s how women are induced to buy more than they need.
No. I’m not a Director.
Then why did you decide to come here and lecture people who were far more successful than you in terms that is recognised by Mary Kay Wagner Rogers Eckman Weaver Louis Miller Hallenbeck Ash’s company?
I’m someone who is active and enjoys what I’m doing.
You enjoy extorting money from people? Weird hobby!
Yes. I’m on Queens Court.
That tracks orders , not sales.
No. I’m not upside down.
Cool, I guess.
I have built my store, clients
I hope you do the accounting for Mary Kay as well as you do for your own business, otherwise you will have neither.
As for your clients, I hope you don’t bother them during the time they paid you to perform your hair-dressing service.
and now more money to be made.
Please show me on the attached Canadian Income Disclosure from 2023 where the money comes from external sales and not from commissions on your down-line’s orders.

Don’t hate on them for your decisions and path you took.
I think every-one here accepts their decisions without blaming other people while still recognising that the system is finely tuned to extract as much money, time and energy from each beauty consultomer as it can to enrich the corporation.
It’s definitely an opportunity given.
It’s not given, it’s bought. Often at a great personal cost.
The rest is YOUR CHOICE.
And a lot of peer pressure.
PTC, I call BS.
I can see how a hair stylist might be able to sell enough product to satisfy MK minimums without excessive front-loading. But I have trouble believing any MLMer who claims to be turning a true business profit just retailing the MLM product.
Haircuts are already expensive enough. How many customers are really going to purchase some overpriced beauty products on top of that cost? Also, you have to be very careful not to turn your customers away with “the pitch”. My guess is you do not do any recruiting of customers in the chair. Product sales only is my guess, and only if the customer asks, am I right?
I call BS that you are cash positive with Mary Kay. Queens Court sure…but when was that? You fail to say when. Could have been years ago when you bought your first inventory package. But cash positive in the aggregate? Doubtful.
Too many of these MLM ladies either lie outright or don’t keep a ledger accurate enough to know whether they are losing or making money. In spite of nearly all of them losing money, nearly all brag about being profitable.
Again, PTC, I call BS.
