My wife just started MK a couple months ago despite me telling her I thought it was a pyramid scheme.  

I suggest you don't use the term "pyramid scheme."    You'll be told: "Pyramid schemes are illegal.  Mary Kay has been around for 60 years and would have been shut down by now."

Just help her see it's a waste of her time, energy and money.  And the new "life-long friends" she makes will drop her like a hot potato when she leaves Mary Kay.  She will be shunned.
